Power of Positive Thinking

How important are your thoughts?

We must learn how to be aware of old, negative thinking habits and replace them with positive thoughts.

Steps for positive thinking

Increase Awareness

The first step in the process of changing your way of thinking is to be aware. Go through the day and realize how many times you have actually been thinking negatively about yourself, your situation, or other people. I did this for at least a week and still do it from time to time. I was very surprised when I realized how much negativity I was feeding myself every day. So the first step is to be aware.

Replace Negative Thoughts

The second step is to actively replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts. For example, if you think to yourself, “Bad things always happen to me,” you can replace that with “I am so strong in the way I deal with difficult situations,” or something like that. This will take time because the negative thoughts are probably so entrenched in your daily mode of operation. But don’t be intimidated. Just start slowly, bit by bit, and you will notice that your thoughts are more positive overall.

Affirmations

This last step is for you to make a list of positive affirmations. Positive affirmations can help tremendously if you say them out loud and meditate on them. There are many ideas for positive affirmations online, but you can make any affirmation for yourself that caters to your specific situation.

Here are some examples of positive affirmations

I am at peace

I attract all the right people in my life

I am strong and healthy

I am successful and have infinite potential

I attract abundance in my life

The evolution of your thoughts

The process of changing your internal dialogue will take time, so expect that the change will not happen overnight. Lao Tzu, a Chinese Taoist philosopher, offers insight into the way we should approach change in our lives when he says, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

Enjoy the journey of evolving into a more positive, proactive thinker. The fact that you are even reading this article shows that you are already on the right path – you are hungry for knowledge and self-improvement.

Keep moving in the right direction and you will attract a better way of life.

Positive thoughts imagine yourself being what you are to be today. One more thing when some situation happens good or bad I always ask:’ God show me today why these circumstances happen and show me in truth peacefully and harmoniously to ease my emotions and thoughts as I listen to you God in this reality.Thank you.’
Trust me once you silence your little one in peace and listen you will begin to see with a smile feeling that joyful bliss knowing what you know the truth of why, what you learn from this situation to move you forward to the next level in your spiritual growth as a being.

Right, Nicole. We must always ask what we can learn from the situation. Because we know that rough, jagged stones can become smooth and beautiful after some polishing and grinding. It’s the same with life, I think. We go through certain situations, and we have the option of letting it break us down or of learning something from it. No doubt that life can be tough. Since we cannot change some things, we must mature in how we grow from the situations.
